The Health & Climate Impacts of our Food Choices

This Jumpstart has two participation options. As in our previous Global Jumpstarts, the
Nutrition Track offers a great introduction to eating a whole food, plant-based (WFPB) diet, especially for folks who have never tried it before or have been struggling to transition.
The Nutrition-Climate Track will focus on the devastating climate impacts of our food choices which continue to multiply, even as we are all focused on how nutrition can reduce COVID hospitalization risks (see Part 1 & Part 2 of Dr. Campbell’s Commentaries).
Millions of people across the globe care about climate change, but don’t know what they can do. In May 2019, PPC initiated an effort to bring climate and nutrition leaders together to amplify and implement the enormous climate benefits that would result from a broad population shift away from animal-based food consumption. The strategies/planks that emerged lay a strong foundation for action and inform the Nutrition-Climate Track. This track spotlights key people in the trenches and provides takeaways you can immediately implement in your own life. We hope you will join us for an impactful, educational immersion program that will forever change the way you look at your food and environment.
