These disagreements don’t just happen with other people. They also happen within
yourself. For example…- Needing coffee to perform a task. Coffee may help, but the reality is you do not need it as much as you believe you do. Your mind is just comfortable with asking for and receiving coffee before doing work.
- Avoiding situations where you’re “on the spot.” Your comfort zone is trying to protect you from harm, but the reality is speaking in public is not harmful or dangerous. It is simply fear that holds you back.
- Voicing your concern or opinion. This is another situation where your brain thinks it is unsafe to break your normal behavior patterns. The reality is speaking out about what you feel is right can dramatically improve your life.
