G. Miki Hayden
G. Miki Hayden has published mystery, science fiction, and young adult novels with a rave review in the New York Times for her alternate history novel, Pacific Empire. She also has two writing instructionals in print-and herWriting the Mystery was nominated for three genre awards, winning one. Miki has published a steady stream of short fiction in several genres and received an Edgar for her story "The Maids." Miki has taught for Writer's Digest University for the past 13 years.

In 2004 Miki was nominated for a Macavity for the story "War Crimes." In 2005, yet another story received a Derringer nomination. Her short mysteries have been published in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, Murderous Intent, Whispering Willows, Futures, Nefarious, Tale Spinner, and Kracked Mirror Mysteries. She also recently sold four stories in a series set in Harlem to Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine. Her cross-genre mysteries have been published in Keen Science Fiction and other small press publications, with a Western/mystery appearing in the award-nominated Unholy Orders from Intrigue Press.
