The Journey to Sacred Activism

In this intriguing conversation, Andrew Harvey, author of The Hope and co-author of Play
Life More Beautifully, discusses how making the shift toward sacred activism is essential for developing the human race. Defining sacred activism as compassionate action toward creating a humanity aligned with the divine, Andrew encourages us all to engage in the practice—which is easier than you might imagine. Start by recognizing the divine in yourself and then act in concert with others, beginning slowly and simply: Meditate for 10 minutes a day, chant a mantra, breathe consciously, or just slow down. Then find a cause that speaks to your heart and stirs your passion. Your divine calm coupled with passion for your cause can then be shared in a “network of grace,” a sacred-activist group that supports individuals toward their goals and through any trials they may face along the way. Listen in for guidance and wisdom as you begin your own journey into sacred activism—and improving the world.
